Mission
To supply government bodies, development institutions and corporate clients with reliable empirical evidence, so that management decisions rest on data rather than assumption.
Research approach
We work to the principle of reproducibility: the methodology is fixed before fieldwork begins, instruments are agreed with the client, and primary data is retained and open to verification. Findings are kept separate from interpretation, and the limitations of each study are stated plainly.

Four commitments we accept under every contract.
Confidentiality
Project materials, primary data and the client's name are not disclosed without written consent. An NDA is signed before work begins, and staff access is limited to the project team.
Reproducibility
The methodology is fixed before fieldwork and primary data is retained. Every conclusion can be traced back to its source and verified independently.
Independence
Findings are never fitted to an expected answer. Where the data contradicts the client's initial hypothesis, we say so plainly in the report.
Professional ethics
Respondents take part voluntarily and on an informed basis, and personal data is anonymised. We decline assignments involving a conflict of interest.

Framing the question
We refine the research question, its boundaries and the deliverable format. The terms of reference record exactly what will be measured and what will count as a proven answer.

Designing the methodology
We develop the sample, instruments and data collection procedures. The methodology is agreed with the client before fieldwork starts.

Data collection
Fieldwork with two levels of quality control: ongoing checks by the contractor and independent re-verification of a control share.

Analysis and interpretation
Statistical processing, hypothesis testing and a statement of limitations. Findings are presented separately from the researcher's interpretation.

Defending the findings
Presentation to the client, questions answered and revisions made where required. The report is handed over together with the primary data set and methodology.
